North by Honeywell offers two Powered Air-Purifying systems: one for full facepieces, and one for loose fitting covers and hoods. Both blower battery assemblies are belt mounted and are NIOSH approved with a range of cartridges and filters for protection from many hazardous environments. Both featured-packed North systems offer the power and versatility to keep workers comfortable during long, hot jobs. Because blower facilitates flow of air through filters or cartridges, workers are not fighting breathing resistance - yielding less worker fatigue.

Description: The North Compact Air PAPR is a belt mounted Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) designed to provide respiratory protection from gases, vapors and particulates depending on the air purifying elements used. The Compact Air PAPR uses a blower unit to force ambient air through filters/cartridges that remove contaminants, providing clean air to the user. To form a complete approved powered air-purifying respirator the Compact Air PAPR can only use North Safety Products head covers or facepieces and filter/cartridges listed on the NIOSH Approval labels.
Assembly includes:
- one blower
- one battery
- one standard back pad with nylon belt
- one breathing tube
- one flow meter
- one single unit battery charger
- one carrying case
Applications
- Hot, dirty environments where mobility is required and supplied air is not an option. Examples: Heavy Manufacturing, Chemical Plants, Refineries, Smelting Operations
Certification
CA102 is NIOSH approved for use with North 5500, 7700, 5400 and 7600 Series tight fitting facepieces.
The Compact Air Series is approved for use with chemical cartridges, HEPA filter, and chemical cartridge, HEPA filter combinations.
